Common Ground Athens is a community resource center for groups and individuals working for progressive social change.  Through educational programs, shared resources, and organizational support, Common Ground connects and strengthens local organizations and residents in their work to improve our community and world.

Common Ground was formed in Spring 2003 as a collaboration between a range of community groups to build a strong foundation for their work for social change.  These organizations became our first affiliate groups, which now encompass over two dozen organizations working on issues related to social justice, civil liberties, democracy, peace, gender equity, environmental integrity, sustainability, community empowerment and more.
