Free IT Athens has recycled computers and computer accessories that they give to nonprofit organizations and community groups in Athens. These internet-ready computers run the GNU/Linux operating system and open-source software and can be customized to meet your organization's needs. Groups that are in need of computers should compose a one to two page grant proposal outlining their organization's goals, their recent successes and their information technology needs.
