Common Ground is proud to be presenting our 3rd Town Hall Meeting this Saturday from 1 to 3 pm at Cine in downtown Athens.

Athens is home to arguably one of the greatest Farmers Markets in the state, our region is full of wonderful organic farms, and our city is one of the states poorest. This combination leaves many of us searching for solutions to our food security problems. Urban farming and hunger are on the minds of many Athenians, this is why Common Ground has chosen FOOD (and LOCAL FOOD!) to be the topic at our upcoming Mayoral Town Hall Meeting.

Come to hear what the candidates for Mayor of Athens have to say about these issues, and ask your own questions of the candidates at this forum. We will have roughly an hour of questions we have gathered from our food community (Athens Farm to School, Athens Farmers Market, PLACE, and more), and the last hour is shaped by you!

The Q and A will be followed by a meet and greet with the candidates catered by Food Not Bombs and Daily Groceries. Be a part of this process, and learn for yourself who you would like to see as our next mayor.
